 Hidden compartment in the trunk

Should there be anything in the hidden compartment in the trunk or it is empty when you buy a new car? I know it sounds funny but I'm just trying to find out if anything was taken from there after my ED I discovered this secret hole after re-delivery.

Itīs not that secret. Itīs mentioned in the manual and in the catalogue. And no, thereīs not supposed to be anything in there.

I believe the compartment was originally designed for a spare tire. However, my 325i E90 came with run flat tires and a spare is not needed.

Actually it holds ONE MILLION DOLLARS in 100 dollar bills. Its a smuggling scam. So ED prolly empty.

No it wasnīt. Itīs far too small for a spare. The E90 was designed for RFTīs right from the start. The comaprtment is there because itīs neat to have and because between the muffler on the left side and the battery compartment on the right and the fuel tank more forward, there would have been unused dead space unless you you fill it with something. besides, many german cars have such "hidden" compartments where you can stash all the small, messy, but good allways have with you parts without having an untidy trunk.
