 Cup holders

My earlier question about cup holders in dash board was do they work or not. Now I have ordered my 325i with these but I'm having second thoughts. The problem is the looks. Does anyone have interior pictures with and without holders? Does the plastic stip in the middle of the dash board look stupid? The interior color will be black/anthrazite.

I didn't know that cup holders were optional. Is this Euro spec only?

Anyway, in my opinion, they are integrated well with the dash, and not intrusive. They're not even marked, so everyone that gets in my passenger side opens one to see what it is.

I don't use them ever, so I'm not sure about their strength or usability, but is seems fine.

I really like the cupholders. The motion in which they come out after depressing them is quite nice. And the cupholders have a little interior arm, with tension on it. To securely "grab" whatever beverage is in them.

Although they're not huge. They are perfect for my Venti Cafe Mocha from Starbucks.
