  Order Tracking Question

 Order Tracking Question

I have a question in regards to order tracking. I called the 1-800 number yesterday and was informed that my car was scheduled for production but without a specifc date? Does this make sense, I asked my dealer earlier in the week and he told me that it was to be build the first week in Oct. Does it sound right that it did not give me a specific date? Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks.

The phone info lags a bit. Your dealer has the up to date info. Unless you have OCD just check the 800 # once a week. It will be here soon enough.

It does seem to lack a bit, but mines stayed "scheduled for production with no date" for about 1.5 week.

Keep calling -- the 800 number seems to be fairly well up to date, more than the Owners Circle, anyway, and with more detail. Mine was produced in week 38 (9/19-23). During the week of production, it went from body shop on Tuesday to Paint Shop on Wed, then assembly line Thurs-Fri. A week later it was on the ship. If it's on a Wallenius-Wilhelmsen ship, you can track it through their web site: http://www.2wglobal.com/www/wep/index.jsp. Just select "cargo tracking", then "auto cargo", then plug in your vin when it asks for "cargo id". It will give you a screen with the name of the ship and info about when your car was loaded on board. On the same screen, there's a "voyage id". If you click on that, you'll see the schedule for that ship and know when it will arrive at the VPC.

If your car goes on the K Line, you can you their website. Also, if your port is Charleston SC, the port of Charleston website lists the scheduled arrival of all ships and is updated every 30 minutes.

The nightmare!!!!
I ordered my car about 2 weeks ago from Turnersville BMW. Well, I had to call about 10 times to order the car.

Then he was suppose to call me back with my Production number and he didn't. So I had to call him back again and he tells me he was busy! I TOTALLY lost it! I ordered a BMW not a Saturn! And I am not hard to deal with at all, I am very laid back.

When I went to check the car, it was listed as Sparkling Graphite, which changed the next day to what I ordered, Jet Black. I ordered 2006 325 xi (sedan) with Nav, Comfort Access, Premium, Sport, Cold Weather, and Rear Spoiler. None of my options are listed under order details. I sure hope it comes with the correct equipment! The dealership is horrible to deal with.

Any way, WHAT IS THIS TALK ABOUT AN 800#??? May I have it????? I didn't test drive the 325, but I did test drive the 330. I hope it has enough power for me.. My e-mail address is BStokes98@aol.com if anyone wants to e-mail me the 800# I really would appreciate it! Have a great day everyone!

Brian
