BLAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I never saw the piece of whatever it was that penetrated my left rear 17-255 Bridgestone Potenza.
Ever tried finding a new tire at 5:15 on a Saturday evening? No luck.
The best I can say is that the run flat has held held long enough to get me home, some 30 miles. But the damage is severe---through the thread on the inside portion. A big gash, and the tire won't hold air.
The car is less than a month old, with 13-hundred miles.
A guy at a gas station told me these tires are warranteed against road hazards for the first 60 days. True?

just imagine if you did not have a runflat! that would have been scary... I posted a video not too long ago about the handling ability of the runflat compared to that of a normal tire in such an incident.... crazy how much safer they really are! Glad you were alright!

Almost makes you want to keep an extra runflat in your garage for cases like this...
