 Sirius and iPod dilemma

I have a 2006 325xi with iDrive/Nav that arrived without the sirius installation (ordered too late, apparently).

Two questions:
1. Any ideas as to how Sirius can be added? Presumably after-market, since the installation cannot be retrofitted, as far as I can tell.

2. Any ideas as to how to connect the iPod so it shows up on the Nav? (you would have thought that this would have been built into the system, but oh no, only on non-nav systems). And yes, I know I can play iPod songs via the aux input...

At the moment, you are probably limited to an FM modulator (which in major metropolitan areas won't work). Other than factory, nothing will connect to MOST cars.

Again, same problem - as of now, nothing is available as the electronics with MOST cars is very different. I'm sure Dension is working on this but that still could be quite a while. Alternatives include the HK iPod kit which uses a separate screen.

Is IPOD the only MP3 player that can work with BMW? They are too expensive in my opinion.

The new 3 series has an AUX input in the armest, which will play any MP3 player. However, the songlists will not be displayed on the screen and you will not be able to control it with the steering wheel controls.

As an aside, my Volvo XC90 has the MOST system. They STILL do not have any way of connecting MP3 players to that, and its been in production for 3 years.
I have to use an FM transmitter.

If you are referring to the iPod My BMW program, then I think the answer is quite clear.

If you are referencing the generic aux input, I think that this is equally clear in the other direction.

the ipod your bmw plan is not available for the E90 navi or no navi

the only solution you have is the aux input or fm modulation

kind of a pain you didn't spend the 75 for the pre wire sat radio
