I have talked to my dealer about changing the radio in the e90 to allow it to manually tune in stations like 106.0. Right now, I have a US spec, my radio will not tune in anything but 105.9 then 106.1. He said the last version of 3 series, all you had to do was push in the manual button for like 20 secs, and a menu would come up, and allow you to change the frequency spacing. Has anyone seen this on the new e90?

Same as the E46. Turn off the radio. Turn on the radio. Hold the "m" key for > 10 seconds. Release. The headunit s/n is displayed. Use the + or - function keys to scroll through the menu till you see the option to change from USA.

For those of you in the US, don't do this if you have Sirius! This will not allow that to work, I found out the hard way on my X5.

why would anyone want to tune into 106.0?

In Europe especially, stations are not only on odd numbers (i.e. 95.3) but also on even numbers which for some reason are not used in North America. Here it's probably some FCC regulation; I can't speak to Canadian regulations.
