I was thinking of getting black leather with black cube trim. I like the black wood trims in Mercs and other European cars. Black cube seems like my only option to get a similar look in a 3 series.
Does anyone own the Black Cube or Silver Cube trim? Do you like it and what is your interior/exterior colors? I've heard the Aluminum trim can scratch easily and show wear. Does your Cube Aluminum trim hide these scratches better or worse?

I've had the car for a year and don't notice any scratches or other wear marks. When I was shopping around, I sat in a 3er with black leather and black cube trim, and it just looked too dark. The lack of contrast didn't look right.

I've got black cube and alcantara and I think that it looks perfect. When the light hits the cube, it will reflect a little and let you see the design of the "cubes", however, I can see how some people would think that the cabin can be too dark with it. I happen to think that the black goes better with a dark interior than the silver, but it really comes down to personal preference. If I had the natural leather, then I would probably want silver cube.
Also, I don't really see how people are scratching their trim I don't ever touch mine, except to clean it.

Black cube trim, matches perferctly with black headliner/alcantara wheel/etc. No scratches so far (car bought in May). I guess the only way you could scratch it is by sharp metal object, like a key.

If so you may have posted in the wrong location and not get as many responses if you were in the E46 forum.... just a heads up!
