Tire problems? which is worse?
So I've noticed quite a few threads about tires, but nobody specifies which tires they have, sport package or regular. I'm ordering a 325i on Sat and need some info before I decide on SP or PP.
Which tire package on the 325i (sport 17's or std 16's) seems to have more problems and why (less sidewall height)? The cost of the tires is almost exactly the same, retail price anyway, so that could be a small factor in my decision.

FS: E90 NEW 325i 16" OEMs alloys/RFT turanzas TAKEOFFS less 50miles PM me
| | Reply » Tire problems? which is worse? | How much does that run for the rims and new tires? Seems a bit pricey after it's all said and done. Also, I doubt anyone is going to want to buy the std 16s, as that's what comes, well standard.
| | Reply » Tire problems? which is worse? | Yes very pricey, bcoz they didnt have SP barebones on the lot, I hate to wait, I suggest between SP or PP, go SP. SP you can drive and feel it, unlike PP.
... there have been a few interest on my 16" takeoffs as winter sets from other places, but we just cant seem to nail down bottom price. bcoz from wat I heard from other threads, E90 steel wheels as wniter sets is not available, so the set that I have will work wonders for those serious drivers who wants summer performance tires and winter sets.
its especially helpful for places that really get snow. In fact Im considering a winter set for my other 330 std 17". Maybe I can get an Blizzaks or Pilots Alpin PA. I didnt realized how important tires were until, i got these expensive Pilots, Im so imprssed and pleased. So, a little more investing on a high quality winter tires will make me feel the wonders of a biimmer, and will keep me from slipping and sliding all over town this winter.

Are the pirelli's w/ the SP better? And I'm mainly concerned about getting the full life out of the tire. I don't want to get a flat for some random reason after say, 10k miles. Thanks
I say getting the "full life" out of the tire, b/c I've seen some people post they've had "blowouts" even though that's impossible w/ a runflat, at least on the sidewall. So yeah, I'm wondering if this is a pretty large thing, or if it's like 1:5000 or something but getting reported on these boards more. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
