Hi all:

I am going to pick up a 2006 325i tommorow. It is my first car and I am really looking forward to it but have a few questions. Its metalic blue in colour with black leatherette interior and the premium package

1) Are there any updates/recalls I should make sure of or ask them to fix?
2) Is it cheaper to buy a spoiler and exhaust tips from them or should i buy them aftermarket?
3) Can I hook my IPOD into the stereo or do I ned to keep using my crappy itrip?
4) If I wanted to purchase an AC Shnitzer exhaust and itnake, do you have any idea where the best place would be?
5) Anything I should look out for?
6) Any extras worth getting?
7) What does the manual say about the break in period (should I take the hgihway home or the backroads?)

Thanks for any and all help:

Big Mike

1. Im sure you can ask the service rep if there are nay updates/recalls, i havent brought mine in yet 12k, im sure they'll put it up to snuff at my next service call

2. Yes its cheaper to get it after, ebay sell the same spoiler OEM for $275., i had one BMW dealer match it and he did, exhaust tips no biggie, maybe $50 buck for the set. but hide the screw when yu put them in. (5 and 7 oclock position will do or use flat screw heads)

3. sell yur itunes, get a 2-male connector at radioshack, ft long is about $5

4. huh?

5. rubber mats i thk is better that carpet, selt-belt holder i find useless, cargo mats for the trunk is nice, and a BMW Jack/tire chge kits ($154) a must

6. there a good thread in here on break in, i did mine at first 1500 miles, im glad i did, I thnk its performce is better.

E90's have run flat tires. Forget the jack / tire changing kit!

nice colour combo, I have only seen 1 blue 325 on the road, saw it in the parking lot @ kosher costco allen rd and 401.

Enjoy your car.

yeah that is true, I kept looking and looking until BMW told me they dont come with them. Its a personal call. I think its a must, plus Im not sold on runflats, they are heavy, expensive, most cases not repairable, and in some places hard to get. They run hotter than normal tires based on custom shops/tire dealers I spoke to.
and others are comments from threads that involves runflats. I didnt made those up!

... to each his own. Im not waiting for 3-4 days to have my flat repair/replacement.

maybe over time it will catch on, by I letting others have all the agony of having them, and while BMW learns from them.

YEAH! Sure!... its a safety thing and I'll stick to a $25 flat repair vs $350

DOWN WITH RUN FLATS - this is another thread mind you
