HAs anyone noticed that little things, like the heated door mirrors that don't heat are annoying when comparing it to the E46? E46 Door mirrors heat whatever the outside temp - Nothing like seeing steaming mirrors in the damp mornings E91 Door mirrors only heat if a) the outside temp is below certain levels, and b) if the windscreen wipers are on it increases the heat.
E46 Daylight driving lights can be set by garage E91 Daylight driving lights? What are those?
E46 Unlocking only the drivers door on first press of remote E91 What? Never heard of it mate
E46 Drive away door locking can be set E91 Had to have new firmware to acheive this and 4 hours in the workshop
E46 change boot lock so it doesn't unlock with the rest of the car E91 No key hole to change the behaviour
It might be that as I only have the 320D SE (four cylinders so get the 'cheap' computer) whereas if I had the I-drive then eventually I might have found the settings.

On the E46, you could turn the key in the boot lock so it ignored the central locking so remained secure when the rest of the car was open. I have a laptop and expensive camera gear so security is high on my list of features.

My E91 has i-drive and practically everything you mention can be controlled via that.

I thought about i-drive but £2000 for it seemed like too much money. I have a palm pilot and gps unit so can navigate around a lot easier than using i-drive, and it can come with me.
