Since the car has just hit the market in the last few months, you might want to sit back and just enjoy what you have.
From what I have seen it will take a year or two for any software mods to be available on the market. Right now, none (that I could find) exist, but that doesn't mean they won't be available later.
Also, so you know...on the BMW's you don't "chip" them in the sense that you pull one chip out and replace it with another. If the E90 follows the E46 (as I am sure it will due since it is OBDII), you will have device with software changes stored in it that is plugged into a port on your car and the new settings are delivered into your cars computer.
Also, with the E46, "chipping" didn't really up the performance of the car. They lifted the rev limiter, remapped the throttle by wire settings and a few other tweaks that made the car run better. There were no noticable HP or tourque gains. The engignes are pretty darn effecient they way they are from the factory. Maybe the new gen of engines will be different.
