I purchased a 325xi last week - my first BMW!!. The dealer provided me with a production number and indicated that the car should be delivered near the end of October. From what I can tell from other posts on the board it sounds like vehicle tracking is not possible in Canada. I tried the 1-800 number but the operator told me that they do not have access to the production number that I provided them.
Once I get the VIN, I assume that I may be able to track it from one of the shipping web sites. Is this correct?
Other than that - I guess I am left to harrass my dealer??
Am I missing anything?

This brings back memories ... I suffered through the wait just like you back in January ...
I found a website to track my vehicle at www.ownerscircle.bmw.ca, but when I entered my VIN number, it was not recognized ... even after I finally got the car home.
I had better luck with the shipping company BMW uses (Wallenius & Wilhelmsen) at www.wlna.com, just use the VIN number as the Cargo Id ... hope this was some help ...

I just found out that my 325xi is in production also, for Oct 31st. Yeah! I think instead of tracking it I'll worry about how to afford it LOL!

Thanks for the information on the vessel tracking. I asked my dealer and he provided the vin and I confimed that it was on the vessel. It left on the 22nd. What was your experience on how long it took once it left Bremerhaven to GTA and before you could pick up your vehicle.

My car is on the Boat (yahooooo) October 4 in Halifax.
Dealer told me thereafter that trains leving for the West get priority. A good assumption therefore is that for Canada, they drop them off in Halifax and then trains take them out West (presumably including Vancouver).
