 Satellite Radio Prep and Window Tinting



Just purchased a 2006 325i with Satellite Radio Prep. The dealer quoted me a price of like $800 to have Satellite Radio installed even with the prep! This seemed really high!
I saw this link for XM thats compatible with BMW for about $190 with $70 installation.

Does anyone know if this will work sufficiently with 2006 325i?

Also, I would like to get windows tinted but not sure where to go in my area. Anybody have recommendations?

The adapter does not work with E90's, only on BMW with I-Bus communications protocol, no NAV and no DSP.

On tint do your research and select the brand/line you want then select the installer. Just like when you chose your car, first you chose a brand, then the dealer, and not the other way around.

I got mine tinted at Sunshield on Van Nuys. They may not use the best brand of tint, but they offered a lifetime warranty against bubbles and peeling for a good price. I'm not the type who cares too much for the brand.

800!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is certainly about twice what you should pay considering you have sat prep! Sounds like you prepped yourself to get SCREWED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
