Just thought I'd share my pain you guys. I was in a rush and pulled in too fast into a spot next to the curb in front a Starbucks. Then I hear this loud scrape. Let me tell you that my scream probably could have been heard for blocks. It scraped completely through the paint. I bought some touchup paint from the dealer on the way home. I really don't know how I'm going to touch up those smaller scrapes.

Break out the porter-cable and some rubbing compound before you mess with touch up paint. I bet you can buff most of that out.

not as bad as it seems, could have been worst. at least the panel is not broken or anything. rubbing compound as suggested may buff the scrapes off.
or seems like minor $200 body shop fix. Id just touch it up and rubbing compound it if i were you. not noticeable unless to tell them.

You might want to hold off on the body shop until you have mastered the art of parking 2 feet from the curb. I think BMW messed up here by not offering front PDC.....man this car is LOW! Could this be the subconscious reason I bought Jet Black??????

My car was redelivered with a bumper scraped courtesy of ship unloading crew at VPC. It was not repaired at VPC and I got BMWNA to pay for the repair. It cost $450 to repaint the entire bumper. 2 months later I hit a curb when trying to park scraping the bumper. I knew this was going to be constant problem because the ZHP bumper is so low so I got the C/S splitters that you see in my avatar. OEM Carbon Fiber Front Lower Lip should be considered.
