 Aluminum Steering Wheel

Is this a factory option? If so is it available in Canada? If it's aftermarket who makes it and what's it worth?

i believe it's Europe only, and it's a matte finish, so it doesn't match the Aluminum trim

I noticed too in the accessories catalog they have a picture of a wood trim steering wheel. That aluminum one would look better than the black plastic. They must not pass DOT certification... too bad!

I looked into it before mine arrived and my sales guy said it was a UK-only option. But on other threads I've read, the concensus is any option is doable for a price. One said you could special order if your sales rep is willing to take the time.

I didn't push it. It's just a trim option (like exhaust tips) and I figured if it ever does become available, it would be pretty easy to do.

Hope that helps.

Just order it as a spare part and swap it yourself. Here's a PDF with the part numbers for the various Euro trim versions:

The picture is of Titanium trim, which is standard European spec. It's actually plastic, but looks fab and makes ordering Alluminium pointless. The added advantage is that if you spec a sports steering wheel, you get the titanium infill (as pictured), whereas with Alluminium or wood you get just black plastic. So, for once, your better off with standard spec!
