Hello all,
I just ordered a 2006 BMW 325i [w/ Nav. system] 2 weeks ago. On the BMW website, it says that "if vehicle is equipped with BMW navigation system, MP3 capabilities only available with a BMW center-installed six-disc CD changer".
Is this true for the Sep. production vechicles too?

NO.. The September Prod E90s should be able to play MP3 CDs even with Navi... 
Now the question is... For pre September Prod cars, would the software upgrade enable teh MP3 CDs in cars with Navi? Can anyone confirm this

Is this confirmed? I didn't get the CD changer since it was overpriced imho ($800 installed). It would be great if the stock CD player w/Navi plays MP3 CDs. I ordered my car last week.

Glenn | Yes, I'm sure that post september prod cars will play MP3 CDs even with Navi .. Check it in teh sticky for the september update..

The September 3 Series Product Update bulletin posted in the thread linked below, which is a Sticky on this Forum top, indicates that MP3 capabilities will be available with NAV starting with cars being produced in September.

This bulletin was posted by Jon. The pdf file included in the thread titled "3SeriesProductUpdate.pdf" has the info.
I guess we will have to wait and see for the cars being produced this month to see if MP3 playback now works with the NAV.
