XM Radio on E90
Does anyone know of a good way to get XM in the E90? My car was not satellite prepped nor do I like Sirius... any way for me to get XM in my car without running wires all over and ruin the looks?

I am just speculating with this but on another forum I saw that if you did not get the car prepped for sat rad, you have to buy the wiring and then splice the fiber optic bus.... then get it flashed at the dealer, so i would assume that if blitzsafe came out with an e90 adapter you could pull it off and have it function like the standard sirius (which i think is less commercial and better IMHO) or they may have an adapter that would utilize the cd changer wiring..... still need a seperate XM antennae. Good luck....

| | Reply » XM Radio on E90 | Like I said earlier... you can do it via the fiber optics, installing the factory sirius system. Here is a link to the official BMW install guide. I am sure it will run over a five hundred to do it. http://www.e90post.com/goodiesforyou...iriusRadio.pdf
I think it would need to be done by the dealer since it is f-ing with the MOST fiber optic system and if that thing gets fubar you are in big trouble, so if you did it bye bye warranty! I am glad I just got it factory, my dealer recommended it just for this reason!
Also, as I stated before some companies have adapters to utilize sat rad through the cd changer wiring, you just will not get the text features on the radio; blitzsafe is one such company. http://www.blitzsafe.com/blitz_catal...blitz_bmw.html
I do not believe they have a E90 fit as of yet! Best of luck and sorry your dealer did not tell you that the sat prep was an essential must if you wanted any form of sat rad.
Best of luck and if you need anymore info just ask!
