Owned Car 60 Days, In Service Dept 11 Days

I won't give the name of the dealership, but I have to say that my experience with them has really SUCKED!

My car: 2006 330i, Sport, Premium, Sat Prep, Step, Silver/Black/Alum.

I took the car in about 3 weeks after picking it up because the lumbar support on the drivers side wouldn't deflate. The dealership deflated the seat and ordered parts.

I went back about a week later to have the new parts installed. The wrong parts had been ordered. I was told to come back.

In the meantime I ordered the Sirius radio and figured I'd have it installed when I went back in. I made the appointment to have it activated and the seat fixed (the dealer was aware of why I was bringing the car in). After hearing nothing, I phoned and was informed that they didn't have instructions yet to install the radio (duh....why didn't they realize that BEFORE I went in?). And the seat still wasn't fixed!! I was so frustrated that I called BMW and complained.

My car has now been at the dealer since last Weds (1 week ago). The dealer finally got the seat fixed and the radio working. But the advisor announced to me when I phoned to check (they never call me) that the labor to install the radio would be 4 hours!! I told him there was no way I was paying that when the instructions (posted on this site) suggest 1 hour. I told him I would not pay for their training period. Now he is asking if I'll "settle" for 1.5 hours.

Has anyone else been treated this way? Is this NORMAL????

Why won't you give the name? Get used to it.

Thanks.

This is how is works donjhen; You talk crap about a specific dealership on this site, others reply in dissapproval of their practices, they say they won't buy from that dealership, you print this up, show them the potential sales loss, and BAM!! (tryin' to sound like Emeril) problem fixed.

This is the bimmerfest mafia. If you read other threads, you will see that sometimes the message reaches all the way to BMWNA, and the problem is fixed.

This happened to me when i had the aux fan recall. I hope you have a loaner or at least rental!!!! If not insist on that. Since my car was in the shop 20 days they even paid my first months payment!

If there was a problem programming for the radio(a frequent problem) they should have charged you the hour recommended and billed the rest on warranty. they will get paid if they time punched properly. it is my understanding at the moment that they have to submit a puma case with the vin to get a new vehicle order emailed to them and then program the vehicle at the moment.
