2006 325xi quote from thompson bmw

Went for a test drive today at thompson bmw, just outside of philly. Handling of the car is outstanding. I road tested the 330i manual and 325i/330i auto. Bear in mind i've never driven or owned a european car before only honda's and toyos in the family. Anyway here is the quote:

06 325xi auto=$32,800
Destination $695
Premium package $2900
auto tranny $1275
sport package $1200
comfort access $500
xenon $800
alarm $495
Navi $2000
leather $1450
MSRP =$43,315
They offered me $42,500

included in the deal is: 4yr/50k miles warranty, 4yr/50k full maintenance, complete roadside (don't really know what he means by this), free loaner when in shop, free pick up when in shop, free state inspection for all car registered within the house i live in (my family owns 4-5 cars) (for as long as i own the bimmer i guess).

I forgot to bring the invoice and only had msrp prices with me and killed me in negotiation since i had no leverage with the price as to how much profits he earned. I tried bargaining based on what i have read in the post from the forum by stating i want at least $2000 off msrp. Have faith in me this is the very first dealership i've visited. Plan on hitting princeton bmw and main line bmw in philly. Tell me what you all think? Any advice would help during the process? He seemed a little more receptable when i told him about $2k off msrp and he asked me if i were to do the deal now and i said no i would need to get a quote from the other dealership. thanks

Hmmm why are they charging you leather separately? It's included in the $2900 PP. Also the 4yr/50K full maintenance is free on all new BMW, so you're not getting a deal on it.

They've got all the options at retail too. You need to get it at invoice.

If I were you, I'd run from this dealership as fast as I can.

Do yourself a favor, do not negociate down from MSRP, do it up from invoice.

Is the difference between msrp and invoice, dealer profit?

Is invoice same as confidential wholesale price as listed on the link above?

It would be helpful if you would list the definition of msrp, invoice, confidential wholesale price? I only know msrp is the suggested retail price like any product from the manufacturer, but a little confused by the other term.

I am thinking very hard on ed. when should i bring that up? after i've finally agreed on the price and then say i want ed so they'll subtract another $3k afterwards or do i start with the ed price and negotiate from their with the options.

What's a doable profit figure for the dealer with the options i am going with?

I'll hit the second dealership with ur advice on negotiating from invoice, won't make the same mistake again. thanks, keep it comming
