 Missing stuff!!

I took delevery of my 325i last month (Arctic metalic, Idrive, prem. package, winter package, xenon lights, auto). The following (thus, far) is missing from this car:

- Storage nets in the back of the front seats. (The dealer told me that the supplier run out of them and that they will be shipped mid-August).

- Day-time-running lights are not operational because they do not have the latest software available. (The dealer said that they are waiting for it!!)

- The memory feature that returns the driver's seat and side mirrors to their original position (assuming that their original position was changed since the last time you used the car i.e. your wife drove it) once you unlock the driver's door is not operational. (The dealer said that the software is yet to come.

- My dealership tells me that he needs a PK# (pass-key #) in order to activate my Bluetooth phone and that he is not able to find it for my car. He waiting for BMW of North America to get back to him.

This is my fist BMW. I've had a Mercedes, 4 Volvos, 1 Jags, and 1 caddilac. I love the car and the way it drives. It drives like no other car I've had. However, I am ticked off at BMW for advertising one thing and deleiver something that comes short of the original promise. Is this typical of BMW? Is this what I can and perhaps should expect from BMW for the next 4 years?

The pass key for the bluetooth is different from other bluetooth devices in that you pick the code that you want to use to pair your phone. Once you car finds your phone, if will ask you to punch in a code, any code you want. Your phone will ask you for that same code. If they match, your car will start bluetooth communication.

I got the storage net on my 05/27 delivered car, but I also heard some didn't get the nets.

The DRLs, that's correct. Dealers don't have the software to set those functions yet.

There is a unique passkey for the Bluetooth ULF in your car. You can't type any code you want.

If there is no passkey card is supplied, the code is written on a sticker on the ULF.

Does anyone know if the ULF in the E90 again in the trunk, like it is in the E46?

After looking fruitlessly for a piece of paper which told me the passkey for some time I decided to read the manual. You define your own. I defined my own passkeys in an E90 325i for two phones, and it worked fine. This loaner is a non-iDrive car. When I get mine with iDrive, I expect it works the same. J

You are thinking of the Acura system.

Interesting. Thanks for the heads up. It looks like they changed the passkey procedure on the E90.
