Looks like 0.8% increase for the 330 and 1.9% increase for the 325 unless my math is totally whacked.

BMW PRICING CHANGES FOR 2006
Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP) For All BMW Models Are Announced


Woodcliff Lake, NJ, July 20, 2005... BMW of North America, LLC announces its new pricing for the 2006 model year. Effective September 1, 2005, the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) for all 2006 BMW vehicles and the 2005 Z4 models will increase by an average of 1.4%. Despite the changes in MSRP, pricing for available options and packages will remain the same, except for minor package content changes.

I saw that over at e90post. I'd like to know what the strategy is. Seems like BMW is trying to provide incentive to go for the more powerful engine. I believe the story is similar with the 5.

Weird. It seems that they are wanting to close the gap even more between what's the better value.

Strategery: ( - misspelled by intent) Making room for the 1 series. 130i or 135i.

That would be so great if they brought the 1-series here......

If they did I'd never LOOK at another Prius.

They must be seeing sufficient demand to warrant this. Seems risky to me. These cars are already expensive vis-a-vis the competition.
