CDV...what is it? Should I remove/modify it?
Hey all,
I need all of you non newbies to answer this. What is the CDV ( if you sell modified CDV's don't answer).
Sould it be replaced?
If so, why?
Thanks. I know that it will be only the most knowledgeble to answer but we "youngsters" will appreciate it.

Clutch Delay Valve. Only on a manual tranny car. You can search for the many many threads, scattered all over the forums, that discuss what it is, how it works (or doesn't as the case may be), how to remove them, and how well things work without them.... http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/search.php?
And why shouldn't the folks that sell modified CDV's answer this question? They, of all people, know the most about them. And at least one, Dave Zeckhausen, is not going to do a sell job on you, assuming he answers this thread.
