E90 Beta testers, how's it going?

Heck, even my e46 in its 5th year of production still has some kinks and small problems, I can only imagine what will be discovered in the e90. Any early reports of problems? What do you guys with a few thousand miles under your belt like most?...like least? I've heard that drivability and performance have been good while ergonomics and the straight dash and cupholder position are minuses. Let's hear what you got!

You know - I asked the salesman this question before I signed on the dotted line, and he said "Hey - no problems!! Just some software glitches which will be fixed before your car gets here." So I'm very relieved.

The cupholders are strange. The "drivers" cupholder is on the passenger's side of the car. Kind of makes you go Hmm.

Other than the lack of storage and good cupholders, users (including myself) are experiencing a rattle in the pillars between the front and back doors. Maybe something to do with the seatbelt assembly, but I don't think anyone has had it fixed yet.

I'm at 3000 miles and everything else is sweet, and when I have the choice, my e46 always gets left behind in favor of the e90. It's faster, smoother, more accurate, better designed, more comfortable, with cooler gadgets (and hello iPod!), more room and currently there are very few others on the roads.

At delivery my car had a service due light on because the computer was set wrong from factory (made the car think it was already a year old). Otherwise, at one thousand miles my E90 is trouble free.

I'm also curious to hear about quality problems (if any) w/ the e90. I haven't read of many problems, but it probably hasn't been out long enough to get a true feel. I guess there's a small chance that BMW has turned over a new leaf with regard to new model quality-- but I really doubt it. If I remember correctly, I think it took about 2-3 years before the e46's quality flaws became apparent. If the only issues are computer realted-- that would be fantastic.

what else do you expect a salesman to say?
