Car maniac!!
Greetings, I have been reading posts on this forum for about a month now. After reading about ed on the new e90, I had made up my mind on getting one. Just when I was going to book it, I had a car accident (total loss). I am in big dilemma now. I absolutely love this car (drove 325i) but the options I am looking for are not available with dealers and the dealers who have it are asking a huge markup. The same car from ed would be cost me 6G's less but it will take time at least 2-3 months and time is what I dont have. I asked couple of rental co's and they quoted me 2500(aint that ridiculous!) for 2 monts of rentals. Here are the options I am looking for:- Navi/iDrive Active Steering premium pkg xenons heated seats, and pdc. Out of all this, I got to have navigation and active steering. I know many people at this forum dont like them but in my opinion they are worth it. I dont know what kind of advice I am looking for but I guess I am little confused  Any help would be appreciated. | | Reply » Car maniac!! |
Yeah, I'm not sure what you're looking for either  But have you considered buying a ~$3000 used car until you can get your ED? At least then you can sell that car and even if you get only $2000 for it, you've saved a lot over rental or buying locally. I picked $3000 somewhat arbitrarily, you can obviously go if your current cash position allows it.

Well, the money you are saving via European Delivery is enough to justify doing it.
You could use public transportation, get a motorcycle/bicycle, buy a beater. I'm not sure where you live and if any of that would apply to you.
But I'm sure if you think of the money you're saving and the amazing car you'll have in your possesion soon enough each day you get on that bus, or etc. It shouild be worth it.

My 325 has sports package and premium pkg. here in canada the car comes with heated seats and xenons. I dont have active steering because the dealer said it was a waste of $$$ and I dont have navi. Love the car and dont miss either option at all. I love the car, it has the perfect amount of power, its pretty fast (I got the 6 speed) and it handles like a dream!
