So I drove an E90 330i 6 Speed yesterday.....
at Stealers Creek BMW. I drove to the dealer in my 2002 330i manual, so it was perfect for comparisons sake.
Aesthetics:
I still can't get used to the rear end. The front I am warming up to.
The interior looks ok, I think it looks a bit cheaper than my E46. But let me cut straight to what matters, the driving;
Acceleration: Definetely not faster than my E46, I punched it hard at about 6 lights.
Clutch: Same feel as my E46, in desperate need of a huge A** clutch stop, what is it with BMW's and the clutch, can they just make the traveling shorter??
Throws: Shorter than my E46,but nothing to write home about. It could still use a short shift kit
Torque: My E46 seemed faster on 1st and 2nd weird...maybe is due to the car being new??, the rest of the gears were about the same as my E46, it didn't seem any faster on 4th or 5th than my e46 ( I took it to about 85mph.)
Handling: the E90 hands down.
I then got on my E46 to drive home and then it hit me..The only reason why I would get the E90 would be to have the newer model, but not because is a night and day difference.
I need a faster 4 door BMW. Maybe I will wait for the M3 Sedan before I sell my car. This car didn't do much for me.

That is all she wrote folks... |  I found the 330i six speed to be quite a bit faster than my 330i ZHP. Faster, better handling, smoother, linear powerband and the car held like glue.

I was not impressed with the acceleration of the 330 6sp I drove a few weeks ago, and I drive a 325!
The car had less than 100 mi on the clock and I would be surprised if it hasn't grown some huevos by now.

I didn't expect the E90 to be this good. It felt somewhat faster than my ZHP. Everything else was great but the interior just didn't do it for me.
