I want to test drive a new e90, but have no intention of buying it.. I just want to see what its like... Now, is this okay? Or do you have to put a deposit to test it? I just don't want tons of pressure, but I'd like to buy a 03 e46 next month

Just say you are interested (which you are). They normally have demo for test drive.
Trying out stuff doesn't mean you are going to buy it.

Don't sweat it. Give a dealer something to do. And you might surprise yourself by buying one. Either way you'll tell all your friends what you thought and if you have a good sales person you can refer people to them and feel good about it.
Enjoy!

There's a couple of threads on it already here, and I'm not sure if it differs in the UK, but the concensus was that if you don't look like you can come close to affording the car, you'll likely not get a chance to test drive. Too young, and you'll likely be taken for a joy rider.
I'd say just show up, act interested, like you are, and don't look like a scrub. You'll be fine. I'd probably be getting a 130i, if I lived in the UK though. Might be a funner car to drive for you too.

LOL - read this forum, do your homework and you'll know more than salesdude. I've walked in wearing ripped up jeans, tennis shoes, a tee shirt and still been handed the keys to some very expensive cars to go test drive. Attitude can take you a long ways
