Hi everybody...again please forgive my ignorance...I decided to order my new E90 with the sport package on it, however since I haven't gotten the chance to "test drive" it, I am concerned about how it would actually feel to ride on it. What I mean is that since I have no way to tell between sport vs "standard", I wonder if I made the right decision. I know that is very subjective, but I need your advise on this. I'd like a smother ride more than a bumpy one...however I understand that the sport setup provides better handling and a more closer feeling of the road and its tangents, but I do not want a "bumpy ride" if that is what having the sport package implies. Please advise...thanks |

The E46 sport suspension is not a boneshaker so I don't think you need to worry about the E90. You'll get a slightly lowered and better handling car with better seats and a better steering wheel. You'd have to spend a lot of money on aftermarket suspension mods to get a harsh ride from this car.

I have it now on my X5 and I've ordered it on my e90 330.

Go for it!!! I would love to get the sports package myself when I order the E90, but I live here in the NYC area... I don't have anywhere to switch out or store the performance tires for the winter months....

Only reason I didn't get it with the E46 is because it came Standard with Sport Suspension. I would NOT sacrifice the Sport Suspension. If it was standard on the E90 330, I would say no, don't bother...you can always get different wheels later on as I did with my E46 Coupe. And I don't find different seats & steering wheel to be such a big deal.
But, like numbersguy said (and I think I can see why he calls himself that), you'd have to spend a $hit-load of extra dollars for suspension upgrades to come full circle.
