Looks like the cupholders are in the dash of the E90. Seems like a good place to mount a PDA (for GPS) that would be just high enough to be viewable, yet low enough that would be unlikely to hit you in the head if it broke loose during a crash.

I am doing the same thing-Axim X50v & Bluetooth gps. Have you considered velcro on the bottom of the mount to secure it? How is the PDA speaker volume? The x50 is bad, so I am looking for a way to route the sound through the car audio.

I'd opt for a vent-mount, rather than a cup holder mount, especially in my E46, where a cupholder-mount would interfere with my stick-shifting

How can you hear the PDA through it's tiny, weak speakers without using an external speaker?
