Just spoke w/my salesman.
None of the North American dealers will be allowed to release any cars to us consumers until the official May 6, 2005 launch date. He told me my car would arrive before that but that I could not take title to it until Friday, May 6.
He also told me that BMW is "almost sold out of May production (e90s)".

Stupid question time. Does "sold out" mean dealers have snatched them up or that there are actual buyers for the cars?

Quote: | Sorry...don't know and didn't ask. | are dealers going to have to stick to the May 6th launch date? I believe the first batch of E90's will be hitting the NY port on April 1st. If you give the VPC two weeks for processing and delivery to dealerships, that has E90's potentially coming in around April 14th. Are they just going to hold the cars at port for 3 weeks? Seems kind of pointless to me.
