E90 availability date
I took a trip to the local dealership yesterday to ask about the E90. After the Sales rep tried to sell me on 3 CPO E46's , he finally answered some of my questions about the E90. I was told that E90's would not be available until November/December of this year. He used the fact that the E60 xi's were so delayed that he would also venture that the E90 wouldnt be available until then. I was under the impression that the E90 would be hitting dealerships within a month or so, and if I were to order one now that I would be able to take delivery sometime this summer. Was I being fed a line of crap, or is this moreso the truth? BTW, The new IS will also be hitting the showrooms in November. Two different reps were telling me the MSRP on the IS350. One quoted 40K and the other 35K. If the IS350 is around 35K, I would seriously consider it. I guess its time to wait and see.... EDIT: I saw the official release dates that Jon posted... Is there anyone who can confirm these days with their delivery? | | Reply » E90 availability date | I live in Toronto Canada and i am getting my car the second week of May....that dealer just wanted to sell you an older car to get it out of his showroom...

EDIT: I saw the official release dates that Jon posted... Is there anyone who can confirm these days with their delivery? | Mostly you received a load of ----. There are no delays in production (that I'm aware of) of E90's. I have a March build 325I due to the dealer in late April. No US cars get released until May 6.
I also understand that May production is sold out. (One would have to verify this). If that's true, you would probadly have to order a June/July production, which would mean late-Summer arrival. If you want a Lexus, then by all means go buy one. It's apples versus oranges, but since you asked: I bought a 325I SGG/Terra/Steptronic/Leather/Sports Package/Xenons/Active Steering....out the door $36, 900. "Yes", I understand most people's feelings that the 330i is a better buy, but that's not what I wanted. ( Nor did I spend $43K). Good luck with your decision...and find a good dealer.

How can you call it apples vs oranges
Waiting for comparison drives is the only smart thing to do.

Seems like you got a good deal on the 325 if you were out the door with 36,900.
