 Timing, Build to Ship

For those of you wondering how long it takes, here's my experience:

Car went into production on Monday, March 7.

Build was finished on Friday, March 11.

Car was transported to the dock where it sat for a couple of days.

As of today, March 18, it has been shipped, which presumably means the freighter has left the dock.

I've been told the ship will stop first on the US East Coast, then head through the Panama Canal, and drop my car at Oxnard California.

So, two weeks from build to ship is pretty good.

when did you place the order?

Sighhh......... my car miss the ship........hahahha........

My car is out of factory on 3/16
On transit on 3/17
At the port on 3/18.......... but the ship has just left........

Too bad my car needs to stay outside and wait for another ship

By the way, how far away is the factory and the port?? I thought it takes a couple days to send cars to the port. but appearently, it took only 1 1/2 days.

300 miles to the port

Hmm....mine hit the dock on 3/17 as well, but alas, no ship until 3/24; I guess their just hanging around the docks playing cards.

While I thank you for the info, and are impressed with your gumption, am I right in thinking that you three all have cars on the way to your homes but you don't know how much they are going to cost?

I'd love to have one on the way myself, but could not justify a mystery price. What's the logic here? I mean what if that option of Xenons turn out to cost $3000?

I am not trying to be a smart ass, just wondering why you ordered before knowing the price.

dude...there are tons of peoplle on this board that have their cars on order and have no idea what it is going to cost...me included...we have a rough idea though...people have been saying that the price increase could be up to 5% and as little as 3%.....

so i think most people have a pretty good idea what it is going to cost...plus...if you want to have one of the first one off the ship...thems the breaks
