Posted this in the Ask A Dealer forum as wel but figured I might get an answer from the ED experts in here.
I take delivery of my 335i in Munich on March 9th (2 weeks from today). I have yet to sign the lease papers even though all terms have been agreed on. I have already received my ED package in the mail so I know everything is still on track and my car finished production 2 weeks ago.
My question is, do I actually have to sign the lease papers 14 days out or risk something happening to my order? Since my CA hasn't pushed me to sign yet I'm not gonna rush it (no reason to start paying before they make me) and I'll just do it when he contacts me, but if it's gonna risk haven't my order cancelled or delayed I can be proactive and tell him I want to sign today. Just need the advice of some of the experts.

I would say it depends on the back office of the dealership.
You should ask the CA if he wants you to come in or if it can wait a few days.
I would not wait too long.

Well I sent my CA an e-mail yesterday asking him when I needed to come in since my ED is in 2 weeks. He hasn't responded to me yet. Since I'll obviously pay before I leave for Munich, what are the risks of paying 1 week out instead of 2 weeks out?

Yeah, the longest I would go would be a week or so out. I now even remember my CA telling my when I turned in the Purchase Order that he could probably get the lease papers signed closer than 14 days out. He does a lot of EDs (recommended on the forum) so I'm sure he knows what he's doing. He's actually picking up a car for the dealership the same day I pickup mine! I wonder if that's a first, a customer picking up at the same time as his CA? Still willing to take advice from anyone else with experience in this area.
