 Munich Hotel Recommendations?

I'm going to be doing my Ed during the middle of September. Which of course means that I will be attending Oktoberfest at some point during my trip.

Can anyone recommend a hotel that is centrally located for getting to the Oktoberfest grounds, BMW pick-up location and the center of Munich?

Any help would be greatly appreciate. It seems like a long way off, but because of Oktoberfest I'm sure I'm already running out of time.

Wise move to reserve now. You didnīt really state the level of hotel you are looking for. My favorites in Munich are the Vier Jahreszeiten and the Bayerischer Hof. Both are in the city center. However, you may not like driving in the city center and you may not like using valet parking for your new car (I donīt).

Many doing euro. Delivery stay at the Holiday Inn on the Leopoldstraße in Schwabing. Itīs a nice, clean 3.5star German business hotel. Itīs convenient to public transportation and also relatively close to both the delivery center and the Ring so you can enter an Autobahn.

Others have used priceline to stay at the Marriott, which is a typical chain Mariott, good location and equally convenient.

Where are you going after Munich?

Brother, if you are going to Oktoberfest, you will be lucky to find a hotel

This is the one I am very familiar with

http://www.hotel-jedermann.de/

right around the corner from the Oktoberfest fairground. Price is reasonable and service is excellent as most German "pensions" are. Breakfast is excellent and free internet computer at its lobby.

Any closer to the fairground you'd be living in the fairground

cheers,

beewang

I like the Holiday-Inn per recommendation of Johnny boy, However rates for Oktoberfest at the Holiday Inn will be 200 Euro + a night. That holiday inn is a nice place for 60~70 Euros but NFW I'd pay that much to stay there for O'fest.

Also, you can forget about the priceline for O'fest, you won't find jackSchitt on it for O'fest.

cheers,

Hey McFly

The OP wants a hotel
,, centrally located for getting to the Oktoberfest grounds, BMW pick-up location and the center of Munich``

Not central on the Oktoberfest grounds.

Hey Johnnyboy, unless the term "Hotel" in German means something else in English, I believe I got him a HOTEL. :P
