 Lead time for ED?

Going to London in July and Berlin in Sept. Flights to Munich from either location is cheap and short, time-wise.

How much in advance do I need to order to pick up? Any chance the 2007 will be available for ED pick up in early Sept?

Also, I know you can drop off in Paris or various other locations. Is it true someone just drives it back to Munich? What would be the gas and toll cost to drive it to Paris?

Summer is the busiest time. Right now, people are seeing lead times as short as 6 weeks but that won't work in the summer. BMW advises 60-90 days lead time.

Also, the question re MY2007 cars really depends on which car, so the answer is both yes and no.

It would be for a 325 or 330i.

Maybe if the rumored 335i comes out, the 325i would be bumped up in HP? Or 330i would become the base model?

Price difference between flying out of Berlin or driving down to Paris and flying out of Paris back to London for return flight to US is not that great.

Could be "fun" to drive in Europe or it could be a hassle.

Actually, costs aside, I guess the transit time would result in loss of half a day I could use to do other things in Paris.

Unless the drive itself from Munich to Paris is interesting enough.

Overall, it is quite fun driving in Europe and it isn't just because of the wonderfully smooth and speed-limit free German autobahn either! You are in a foreign country with different people...it is all quite exciting.

Put it this way, if you like driving in general, you'll like driving in Europe...it is just icing on the cake.

I take my family on long road trips/vacations all the time throughout the US and Canada...I just love to drive!
