 M3 ED - Significant discounts - anyone?

Hello everyone..

I'm a new guy here, and am interested in getting an ED for my M3.

At first, I thought I would be able to save some cash doing it this way, and use it to fund a little vacation. But after a fellow bimmerfester pointed out, unfortunately there is no discount for this.

I'm still up for doing this though - from what I hear, I may be able to get the car $1500 cheaper by doing an ED, so that'll be enough for me to pay for a trip just for 2 days

Anyone else do this for an M3 and was able to get a significant discount?

Now I could be wrong here but I think M cars come out of a dealer's allocation so they have little incentive to heavily discount the cars.

On the contrary, non-M cars do not come out of their allocation and therefore they are willing to deal since it is kind of "free money" to them and they'll still get their normal number of cars guaranteed to them from BMWNA.

You can get a good deal on a ED M3. I negotiated from invoice up and got a very good deal. I also made the first offer and asked for a counter from several dealers.

Shop arround. Jorn Esser at Passport BMW, MD is good. Howevr he is not the only one.

Just the regular deals, nothing special for doing ED. So you can get it for the same price doing ED or taking delivery here directly. The M3 is not on the ED program so there is no special M3 price.

M3's have been discounted for the last year or so... so you can get a decent price as compared to just prior to that where everyone was holding the line at MSRP.

I have heard that the M in MSRP stands for the M model cars, no budging from MSRP. However if one can get less god bless them.
