 Munich to Amsterdam

Does anybody know how long the drive would be in my ED BMW from Munich to Amsterdam? I mapped it out and it said something over 6 hours, but when I talked to some people who've been to Munich they have said the drive is 3 hours or less.

Does anyone have any experience in making this trip?

It's about 500 miles - that should tell you whether 3 hours or over 6 hours is more reasonable.

6 hours (with no stops) is probably a close figure. It will be slow driving getting out of Munich. You won't always be at 200 km/h. In fact, if you are not past 2000 km for engine breakin, you will be able to peak at 180 km/h but not maintain it continuously as you need to vary revs.

You will also pass through parts of the Autobahn which may be under construction or areas where speed limits are 100 or 130.

Rich is right re distance - I just mapped it on yahoo.de and it is 825 km.

600 miles is a bit far to venture with a new bimmer probably...
