  Importance of being honest.

 Importance of being honest.

Just like some of you here on the forum, few month ago I was pondering the dilemma of choosing the one and only trustworthy dealer for my ED. Finally, I went with Adrian Avila of Nealey BMW in Atlanta. I had a slightly better offer from another dealer. However I wanted to work with someone experienced and recommended. Today it all played off.

My wife and I dropped the car at Harms October 22. By November 11 it was in the US. This week it made its way to Atlanta. So, we went to pick it up. The car looked great until Adrian asked us to take a closer look at the wheals. Apparently, some one took of the new rims and tiers and replaced them with old ones. If not for Adrian, I wouldn’t even think to check. He assured us that he will contact BMW ED in a shortest possible time and gave us a loaner even though we live 2 ½ hours away.

You should be careful selecting a dealer for your ED. This forum is the best reference. If in doubt, talk to Adrian. He is the man!

No doubt about it, Adrian is one of the best. Glad you got your car back, I hope everything works out!

I agree with the honesty comment.

I am anxious to hear the backstory re the wheels.

It did not cost him anything, this theft is covered under insurance.

The claim would take over 4 weeks to approve if it is over $1000, which it is. The dealer will give you your car to drive as soon as they find out how hard it is to get the claim approved.
This has nothing to do with dealer honesty, since they will stick the wheels and rental bill to the insurance.
If you did not have a reputable dealer, which yours obviously is, they would not help you as much and you would have to fight the insurance by yourself with the same results.
So in conclusion you get what you pay for . SERVICE, you paid for better service, but it has nothing to do with honesty.
Personally, I would have preferred the better deal, as I can easily take care of the insurance claim myself.

Curious, but how did Adrian (or you and your wife, for that matter) tell apart used wheels/tires from the new ones that came with the car upon dropoff in Europe? Were the wheels rusted/scratched?

Tires were bold. Wheels look like nothing anyone ever seen on an American BMW
