Insurance question...
One of the key points stressed about the insurance is that if your car is stolen you must have possession of both keys.
What if you valet park at a hotel, and your car is stolen? (Obviously, you would have theoretical recourse against the hotel; but in a foreign country with different laws (hotel law is often onerous in favor of hotels), etc. you would be in a very difficult situation if insurance refused the claim.)
I remember being paranoid about this issue throughout my trip. Hotels that valet'd my car never gave me a ticket. My (American?) paranoia often kicked in, and I insisted on some sort of receipt that said they took my car.
Would insurance really not cover the car if you only had one key? Or would there be more flexibility if you could prove that you had no culpability, even though you only had one key left? Do you think that having a receipt or ticket showing they took the car would make any difference?
Thanks.

Also make sure you have the ownership papers with you, NEVER leave those in the car...
