if mercedes dealers will do ED at xxxx over invoice as many of us here are aware of? i do know that they offer the standard 7% off msrp. anyone?

Just kidding. You might be researching for someone else.
Anyways, MB's are not selling wells now. Perhaps the exception is the ML, R, and CLS classes. For the E, S, and C's most dealers in SoCal will sell for less than 7% below MSRP. In fact, mbworld.org has posts where people are getting up to $8K below MSRP for E's. So, unless a trip to Germany is part of the intention, I don't think there's much savings/value going the ED way.
