How is your car prepp'ed for shipping?

From this forum I've gathered the following:
Remove front license plate as souvenir
Remove first aid kit and triangle
Car wash - I guess even more important if they salt the roads during the upcoming snow

Anything else that I need to do?
Any recommendations for a car wash near Harms Munich

What does Harms do during shipping? Is there any protection for your car while on the ship? I know new cars have that white platic film all over to protect the paint etc. Do they do that for ED cars as well?

There is no prep. Your car is put on the ship as is.

If I had one wish answered, it would be for BMW to put shipping blocks into the springs of all ED vehicles. In two out of three ED's, the underside of the front bumper was scraped from bottoming. The one time I didn't have damage was because it was an already high off the ground X3.

I remove the warning triangle, the flashlight, the first aid kit, the cigarette lighter, and the front plate.

No need to remove the flashlight and the cigarette lighter.

All that needs to be removed are the first aid kit and the warning triangle (and vest but that wasn´t delivered with the car). The plate can be removed as a souvenir.

You have all the info you need - nothing else need be removed. Harms doesn´t protect the cars with film or anything, as that is for new vehicles only.
