 Finally! ED report

Got in last Sunday afternoon- didn't get to sleep until midnite -up for 35 hours total! Was so busy all week, couldn't get to the pics.

First, We want to thank everyone for all the tips and info, especially Beewang!! Very helpful and made the trip really easy. Met some fellow EDer's while in Munich, Eric and Brooke--great people!!!

Our ED timeline----
Arrived on Sat. 11/5. Got picked up by Rolf (Great guy!!) and went to hotel, Hilton-Munich City for check in at 11 AM. Great room. big! Drizzling, so went to mall for coat!.. Forgot my rain coat. Cleared up that evening and took a stroll to Marienplatz.

Sunday-visited the Deutsch Museam---the largest technological museam in the world and home of the first Diesel engine! Very interesting. Then on to the Glockenspiel and subsequently by S bahn/bus to Dachau. After this very sobering experience, returned and went to Hof Brau house for late lunch and Bier!! Met Eric and Brooke, fello ED'ers at the Renissance hotel for drinks!

Monday, Rolf picked us up at hotel to go to ED center at 7:30. Eric and Brooke were there as well. Took delivery of our 550i shortly thereafter. Very easy process and took about 30 minutes. Then off to Harms for pre-delivery check in- (so we would know where to go on Friday). Visited Olympic Tower and the little BMW museum and then off to our tour of the Dingoling Factory. We were able to arrange at private tour with Herr Herman and it was fantastic. What an immaculate factory and amazing process. Everyone really must take this tour when you do ED!!

Tuesday, we took off for Neushwanstein Castle, Innsbrook and then Salzburg. We got off the main highway and took the Romatica Strasse, which was very easy and much prettier than going the faster route! The Nav system worked super!!! Made the trip so easy!

Wednesday toured Salzburg and took the Sound of Music tour. Very good.

Thursday- took off for Vienna and toured the Hofsburg Treasury museum. Amazing!

Friday, back to Munich for drop off!! Got in 930 miles total in the 4 1/2 days!! We than took our flight to London for start of our Trafalger tour on Saturday 11/12---London to Paris, Lucerne, Florence and Rome!!

Observations---

Weather was incredible--only 2-3 hours of rain for the 16 total days we spent in Europe!

Roads were terrific-- especially the ability to go faster than we can here!

Liked Germany and Austria the best--clean, very friendly and good Bier!

CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!!!!

Here are some pics:
