Getting E60 Rubber Floormats in Munich for the my ED on 12/16

O.k. I know this isn't a very exciting post. It's not loaded with wonderful pictures of a new BMW using the German countryside as the background.

I promise I'll take a ton of pictures and post them when I take delivery in Munich on 12/16!

My question is this....Does anyone know where I would be able to get rubber floor mats near the Munich delivery center for my 530i so I can use them during my snowy and wet trip?

I am getting the beige interior and will be traveling with family so I know with all my effort in keeping the factory floor mats clean it just won't happen!

I'm not sure if I can just purchase the factory version rubber mats at the ED center or what...any ideas? thoughts? suggestions? I guess I can try and buy a set here and pack them in my luggage...but what a pain that would be!

Thanks!

You could probably buy some there, but they may have sold out and will probably be more expensive than in the US. You cannot leave them in the car for shipping so I would buy here and take them with you. I am doing the same thing with snow chains.

If you are not worried about the cost then why not just buy a new set of beige mats in the US on your return? Or leave the kids at home?

Every BMW dealer in Germany (allegedly):

The mats are very heavy and a set of 4 will take up a lot of space in your luggage. If you do go this route I'd bring a large plastic trash bag to wrap them in so you don't have to fuss with dirty mats before you come home.

Why not just treat the floormats that come with the car as disposable, and if you have to replace them, so be it? If they are really soiled, the VPC or dealer might put in new ones before redelivery anyway.
