Guys,
Here is my problem. On Sept 6 I turned over my car to HARMS where they noted that both front rims are scratched and the driver side door had a small scuf mark. On Oct 3, the VPC officially took over the car.
Almost 3 weeks are gone and BMW has no ETA for me. My dealer is telling me that it takes time and gives me excuses such as his manager is in touch with the NJ VPC. This has been going on for a couple of days, and today he said he does not want to jepardize his relationship with the VPC. Last thursday I contacted BMW ED. They promissed a reply by Friday, today when I called again they promissed a reply by tomorrow, saying that the manager over there might be off.
It seems that they are trying to buy time. I just want an ETA. This is making me imagine all kind of screwed up scenarios on what might have happened to my car.
Am just paranoid? Does it really take more than 3 weeks for BMW to even give an ETA?
Thanks, .Trex

That is a major bummer. It makes me nervous about getting my car. My car docked in New York on 10/14. Saturday when I talked to my dealer (8 days later) he still didn't have any word on where my car was.
Keep us updated!

Thanks, .Trex | Hey.... They are being honest with you, Kerry Lynn Shaw was away and she is the link between BMW ED and the VPC. The problem is that they pulled your car to complete the repairs at the same time there was a service bulletin for the car, dealing with the software. As for the dealer I am not sure what connection they have at the VPC. Also if you did not file a claim with Gerling Insurance that can also be the hold up as they need the claim number from Gerling to initiate the repairs. I will PM you with further contact information. Best of Luck!

If you want to get an answer (and the right one), BMW ED is the place where u can get it. dealer has already taken your money and will not want to spend time on you. Kerry Lynn Shaw is the best resource there is - she is just amazing. As per my info, she was in Germany till 10/17 - she should be back by now. Call the ED number and ask for her - you will not be disappointed.

Guys thanks a lot. I will follow-up with the contacts provided tomorrow. It bothers me that I need to keep pushing them to find out where the delivery process stands, and this for a paid car.
I will let you know of the outcome.
