Arriving in Munich for 5 days, should Frankfurt be substituted
I've gotten some great info on touring 5 days in the Southern part of Germany. Most say to skip Franfurt in place of other sites. Is the Black Forest region a worthy substitute?  | | Reply » Arriving in Munich for 5 days, should Frankfurt be substituted |

Is the Black Forest region a worthy substitute? | Frankfurt is a good place to fly in and out of but not a very charming city...think industrial and until recently very US military oriented. Black Forest is fine, but no alps like further south. My favorite places are still anything around/on one of the rivers.
