that happened to me too on our way from venice to florence. u have to try playing with the nav a couple of times. also try deutchland and enter street address (bypassing city altogether). it took us a while to figure it out to get to villa fiesole and the direction was not even right. if ur heading to villa fiesole, just put in the city and start guidance and when it reaches about 3 miles left keep looking for signs of vila fiesole. good luck!!!

Via Michelin just says to drive through Florence to get to Fiesole.
I got the following directions from the Villa Fiesole hotel website which made it very easy to get there.

The exit from the A1 highway is Firenze Sud and after go on as indicated on Via Marco Polo for 3 Km till you reach a traffic light; turn left on Lungarno A. Moro and after around 500 mt follow the indications on the right for Stadio/Fiesole and continue for Fiesole. The Hotel is located on the main street that links Florence to Fiesole 800 mt before the main square of Fiesole on the right hand side.
Those were not the same directions I got 2 years ago. It told me to just follow the BLUE arrows from the Firenze Sud exit, but those directions sound right specially after looking at the map below. More info on their website. Please note that Firenze Sud exit in on the south side of town so it will appear that you are driving past Florence.

While on my ED I found that the best way to find a hotel that I want is to enter only the city.. then start guidance.. then go to information on destination, select travel then hotels and there enter the hotel NAME.. Always worked with 100% accurate directions (used it for 6 hotels in 6 cities across France and Italy)

Yep, tried that and Villa Fiesole is not on the list.
Anyway, we made it. Just used the city Fiesole as destination and saw the hotel on the right a mile from the fiesole town center.
We thought Venice was a madhouse in terms of tourists but Florence is worst. I can't imagine being here in the middle of humanity during summertime!
