I am picking up the car on 7th from Munich and then the plan is to drive down to Fussen to see the castles the next day. I would like to make a day trip to see Munich and then head over to Fussen in the evening. What is the best way to do this?. Should I drive and park in the city and walk around or take the train from the delivery center and return to pick up the car and then drive on to Fussen.

I'd like some advice as well. I'm staying at the King's First Class Hotel which I believe has on site parking.
Also, how far is it from Munich to Lake Geneva.

I'd find a place to park ouside of the ring and take the subway into town.
