The latest version of BMW DVD Pro is VERY tough and according to BMW bulletin to dealers, using of backup this on the i-drive DVD pro will void all warranties relating to the Nav and i-dive system.

a pirate Nav disk is just a bad idea.
I just have this image in my head of a couple of guys driving all over the country with a camcorder aimed at the nav screen trying to make a boot leg map disk.
