 24 hours to the trip - wow!



got the nav, got the phone (thanks gene and beewang), got the poweshot G6, got international driver license...

i am literally shaking with anticipation, like a little kid. can't believe i am really doing it. here is my approximate route:

20th morning munich arrival and car pickup
20th afternoon drive to nuremberg and crash with relatives
21st morning drive to villa near florence for the wedding
22,23,24 @ the villa and florence
25th leave villa, probably go to rome and after that:
milan, lake como, pisa, monte carlo, san remo, nice, zurich, stuttgart and back to munich for early morning drop off on 4th of july. hanging out with friends in munich and flying back on the 5th.

Yea I remember those days prior to my departure. Just like a kid waiting for Christmas Day to happen so you could play with your new toys.

Sounds like you are going to do a lot of driving after the weddiing. just make sure you pace yourself. Have fun!

Just remember to allow an hour for each hundred miles.

I'll be a week behind you but it sounds like we might over lap in a couple of places. You won't be hard to spot! have a great trip! and good luck at the wedding

Have a great trip. Be careful in the big cities... I love small towns and inbetweens on ED, but your itinerary sounds fun and challenging... enjoy a great car on fantastic roads!!
