Now with the autoban having no limit has anyone had an accident while taking ED of their new car? Curious if it is like a drag strip or relatively normal freeway driving?

I understand Vasek Polak (sp) a well known Sol Cal BMW (now known as South Bay BMW)/Porche/Audi dealer. An avid car buff and Euro Delivery enthusiast. Died from an autobahn accident while driving his ED Porsche. 
Accidents fo happen and it can happen anywhere. Its not a drag strip and in fact the German drivers are much better drivers than your avg. US Driver. Do a search here and you will see that they spend much more time and money to obtain their driving privilege.

that is funny we aren't too far apart and I have experienced as you have those left lane hoggers below speed limit! Good to know it won't happen overseas.

Good to know it won't happen overseas. | Not only will left lane hugging not happen it's illegal and just rude in most parts of Europe (especially Germany). Trust me, driving over there for your ED trip will really spoil you even if you don't drive fast. It's probably more dangerous when you get used to driving there then come home and expect the drivers here to behave as rationally and politely as they do there.

The guys behind us totalled their ED car on the Nürburgring. It can be a very unforgiving track in unexpected places.
