i am thinking ofd riving from munich to lugano before heading into italy. anyone spent any time in lugano. is it worth seeing?

Park Hotel Nizza, which is absolutely gorgeous -- not in in the Ritz tradition but more like a small family-owned hotel.

My .02....drive thru the alps in Switzerland and stop for lunch in Lugano....then keep going into Italy to Lake Como. Much more reasonably priced and just as beautiful. We stayed at the Albergo Lenno in Lenno and it was our favorite part of the whole trip. Check out the hotel on InItaly.com

I was there for about two days. Probably could have done with just one, from a tourist standpoint.

It's nice. Have lunch at Gabbani. Take a ferry to Gandria. Walk around the old town. We stayed at Hotel Walter right on the water with the great view of the lake.
Did I enjoy it? Yes. Would I go again? No.
